Sefton Libraries, UK 2017/2018

Fairland Collective were invited by Sefton Council to conceive a project for Sefton's public libraries, in particular Bootle library, just North of Liverpool. One Pot Project created public engagement through one-pot meals, workshops and public events, forging new relationships and collaborative roles between public libraries, local organisations and individuals. The project hoped to establish the public library as a place for collaborative learning, as well as simply bringing people together around a communal table.

The project now forms part of The Human Library, an ongoing programme of artist-led workshops, events and happenings in Bootle and Crosby Libraries. One Pot meals take place on a monthly basis, now with contributions and guidance from a group of local home-cooks.
